KENMEN was created through a synergistic & innovative “Natural preservative system” designed by our chemists & inspired by Herbal Medicine & Dr. Paul Penders, who in knowledgeable circles is referred to as the father of organic chemistry. This preservative system is derived from natural food grade sources & phyto ingredients. As a result our products may at times vary in terms of color (appearance) and aroma-fields as we purchase organically grown produce and our production volume is controlled to assure quality & shelf life.

Certified Organic

Certified Organic strictly applies to organic foods and plants – and the growers or producers of these ingredients. This process is rigidly regulated by a governmental body & requires producers to follow stringent rules and methods in their growing. Farms that grow Certified Organic foods, for example, must be free of pesticide use, synthesized fertilizers & harmful environmental chemicals for at least 3-5 years (in Canada).
Certified Organic is more costly than traditionally grown produce and yields less in volume & is more susceptible to bugs & diseases. Normally when fertilizers and pesticides are used produce is larger more robust. This is why our product-cost factor may be of issue with consumers who may not realize how expensive organic raw materials can be.

Our formulators source natural therapeutic ingredients, which will address crucial issues prevalent in men such as inflammation & cardiovascular activity. Through their many years of experience our team has successfully achieved the goals they set, in creating “PURE” luxurious products with integrity and quality from “PURE PRODUCE” – while removing all toxic and harmful chemicals which are not only detrimental to our skin but our precious environment as well. The source of each ingredient is as important as the ingredient itself.

KENMEN supports ecologically driven, sustainable & equitable fair trade agricultural practices. Many of our ingredients are sourced from certified organic growers & producers & harvested under purely organic conditions without the use of pesticides and synthesized fertilizers. Our products are NOT tested on animals & do not contain ANY animal source ingredients and are Vegan friendly.
Our phyto-botanicals are extracted using a traditional old-method steam distillation. This process eliminates the use of glycols
or preservatives to extend the shelf life of the source.

Therapeutic Source Extractions

KENMEN E-O blends, Hydrosols and Botanical Extracts are derived using a water distillation method. This process entails the immersion of botanical sources in water, which is then brought to a boil (less than 100 degrees is preferable). This method not only protects the oils at high temperature, but also ensures that the integrity of the essence of the extract is maintained.

The condensed materials are brought to a cool-down stage whereby the water and essential oils are then separated. KENMEN uses the water that is separated in this process to produce our best-selling hydrosols (after-shave & cooling mists) as well as our therapeutic Roman Chamomile & High-Mountain Lavender Mist hydrosols.
