KENMEN was created through a synergistic & innovative “Natural preservative system” designed by our chemists & inspired by Herbal Medicine & renowned cosmetic chemist Dr. Paul Penders who is often referred to as a pioneer of organic chemistry. This organic system is derived from natural food grade sources & phytoplant ingredients. As a result our products may at times vary in terms of color (appearance) and aroma-fields as we purchase organically grown produce and our production is controlled to assure quality & shelf life.

Certified Organic

Strictly applies to organic foods, plants and the growers or producers of these ingredients. This process is rigidly regulated by governmental bodies & requires producers to adhere to strict rules in their growing methods. Farms that grow Certified Organic and Bio-Dynamically Farmed produce must be free of pesticide use, synthesized fertilizers & harmful environmental chemicals for at least 3-5 years (in Canada). Because of these stringent regulations, Certified Organic and Bio-Dynamically Farmed produce is more costly than traditionally grown & mass produce, as the process is often more labor and management intensive, yielding less in volume & more susceptible to bugs & diseases. Although the end product-cost factor may be prohibitive at times, the results rendered to the consumer in terms of product quality and the measures taken to preserve our natural resources far outweigh the traditional alternatives.
This is our way to convey that we care and are truly invested in our philosophy and mission to give back to the earth what we take from it. *The term biodynamic is taken from the Greek words bios meaning life and dynamis meaning energy. Hence biodynamic farming refers to "working with the energies which create and maintain life." Biodynamic agriculture was first conceived by Rudolf Steiner in the early 1800's, based on the principles of spirituality and astronomy, certain produce had to be planted at very specific times In alignment with the stars & planetary patterns.

Our formulators source natural therapeutic ingredients, which will address crucial issues prevalent in men such as inflammation & cardiovascular activity. Through their many years of experience our team has successfully achieved the goals they set, in creating pure, luxurious products with integrity and quality – while removing all toxic and harmful chemicals which are not only detrimental to our skin but our precious environment as well.
The source of each ingredient is as important as the ingredient itself. KENMEN supports ecologically driven, sustainable & equitable fair trade agricultural practices. Many of our ingredients are sourced from certified organic growers & producers & harvested under purely organic conditions without the use of pesticides and synthesized fertilizers. Our products are Vegan friendly & NOT tested on animals & do not contain ANY animal source ingredients. Our phyto-botanicals are extracted using a traditional old-method steam distillation. This process eliminates the use of glycols or preservatives to extend the shelf life of the source.

Therapeutic Source Extractions

KENMEN Essential Oils blends, Hydrosols and Botanical Extracts are derived using a water distillation method. This process entails the immersion of botanical sources in water, which is then brought to a boil (less than 100 degrees is preferable). This method not only protects the oils at high temperature, but also ensures that the integrity of the essence of the extract is maintained. The condensed materials are brought to a cool-down stage whereby the water and essential oils are then separated.
KENMEN uses the water that is separated in this process to produce our best-selling hydrosols (after-shave & cooling mists) as well as our therapeutic Roman Chamomile & High-Mountain Lavender Mist hydrosols.

Natural Ingredients

KENMEN uses naturally sourced ingredients, which are replenished to maintain sound ecologically friendly and conscientious practices. Our ingredients are harvested & produced using safe & pure processing and we will continue to support our Fair trade global initiative by purchasing from sustainable markets.

Wild harvested- Items gathered from their natural environment, such as woodlands, prairies, deserts etc. All wild harvested items are taken to separate facilities for further processing.
