GOAL 1: ORGANIC GROOMING & SKIN CARE SOLUTIONS FOR MEN

KENMEN-BC/ONE® as an Eco-conscious company our initiative is to collaborate with Fair-trade Equitable producers and suppliers in order to do our part to help indigenous populations and to "give back to the earth what we take from it. "

The word KEN in Japan translates to "the embodiment of WELL-BEING" and it is in this context that we create our products.

The main goal in creating our products is to: Reduce inflammation which is very prevalent in a Man's skin and often comes from within. Men are susceptible to heart & stroke ailments / lung & kidney & prostate failure mainly due to inflammation caused by poor lifestyle habits and STRESS. Our products come from the earth and are organically grown, which means no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers and together with the ancient knowledge of Herbal medicine we are able to offer rich ingredients which have existed for centuries and have been used by many cultures to cure health issues which Western medicine & pharmaceutical companies cannot even begin to address.

GOAL 2:

  • Our original mandate (fueled by demands from the Film Industry) was to formulate a high-definition compatible color line exclusively for MEN using pigments-specific to their skin tones and ingredients suited to their skin textures.
  • Formulating without the use of toxic chemicals using rice powders, bamboo & arrowroot & silk to replace Talc, has been an incredible challenge.
  • The necessity to expand & compliment the color line into Grooming & skin care led to extensive research & testing with newly developed "Natural Preservative Systems" which could sustain pure-organic compounds for a prolonged time frame without the need for synthetic chemicals, petrochemical derivatives, Propylene/s-Glycols, silicones, pesticides or parabens.
  • Our main focus is to service a very selective Niche-market with emphasis on education & information and ensuring that the consumer benefits from the complete sensory experience in order to better understand the functionality of each product.
  • Selective distribution enables us to better control our production & quality and offer unique & innovative elements to the male consumer as an alternative to traditional cosmetics produced for women & re-packaged for men.
  • We understood from the start the challenge in filling a void, which has long been ignored & misunderstood in the market place, and we also knew that mass production & mass distribution would not serve our goals or the products we formulate.
    Therefore prior to creating our products, we had to understand what "MEN WANTED?" so we developed our own marketing tools in the form of research and focus groups, through our website which launched in 2004 and has now expanded with 2 more websites slated to open before the end of January 2008. www.kenmen.net/com evolved into an educational & informative forum where men share their grooming, skin care / & corrective-color / makeup issues and relate their needs & desires to us. Our clients definitely conveyed their need to be informed and we have greatly benefited from listening & learning from them. By popular demand, the new websites will feature 2 instructional DVDs on Grooming/skin care + corrective color application focusing on corrective makeup techniques (diminishing imperfections, under eye discolorations, post-surgery or acne scars) and enhancement applications (bronzers, concealer, brow-beard corrections).

GOAL 3: TO CONTINUE…TO BETTER OUR ENVIRONMENT & OURSELVES

  • To continue to nurture our relationships with our consumers and partners in the SPA & Film & Television Industry as well as support our charitable partnerships with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics & The ONE x ONE foundation aiming to eradicate poverty, Aids and other diseases in Africa & provide education and hope to less fortunate populations worldwide through our sustainable & equitable markets initiative.
  • Our goal is not to follow trends but rather to listen to the needs & the demands of our consumers and partners & strive to always improve through our commitment to servicing our customers, our dedication to quality & healthy living.
